Corsaires Football

Introduction to the Retroaction Platform

The Retroaction platform is used by sports organizations to create groups, schedule activities, evaluate members (players, athletes, referees, coaches), create and balance teams. The platform also simplifies communication with their members and parents as well as taking attendance at activities. The organization Corsaires Football is currently using one or more of these features.

The member, or their parent, will be asked to cooperate with the organization by reporting their attendance or absence from activities. We encourage you to carefully read the following instructions to learn how to proceed.

Advertising

Some pages of the Rétroaction website or mobile app may display advertisements. Please note that the Rétroaction platform will never ask you to enter your credit card number. Therefore, be cautious not to confuse an advertisement with official platform content.

Access to the platform

To access the Retroaction platform, simply create an account, either on the website (www.retroaction.ca) or via the Retroaction mobile application.

Email address already in a member's file

In general, the email address used during registration is already associated with the member's file. Therefore, if you create your account with the same address, the platform will automatically establish the corresponding links. You will then be able to consult the schedules, report the presence or absence of the member at the organization's activities, and much more.

Email address not present in a member's file

The rule is simple: to access a member's information, your email address must be in their file. If you use an address different from the one provided during registration, the platform will display an error, indicating that it cannot establish a link with an existing member.

Another common case is that of a parent of two children who only has access to the information of the first child, but not the second. This means that your email address is not associated with the second child's file.

To resolve this issue, simply add your address to the affected member's record. If another parent already has access, you can ask them to add you. They should go to the schedule via the website, select the member's name, and then click the link "Allow another person to view the [member's name]'s schedule."

Alternatively, you can submit a request to the organization to have your email address added to the member's record.

Activity schedule

You can check the schedule on the website or using the mobile application.

Mobile app

Download the mobile app now to view your schedule and indicate your presence.

If you already have a Retroaction account, just use the same email address. Otherwise, creating a new account from the mobile app is only possible if your email address is currently in a member's file. The mobile app allows you to view your personalized schedule. It also allows you to view your group or team details and more.

Website

The schedule of the organization's activities is also available on the website.

SCHEDULE (https://demo.retroaction.ca/Schedule/Index/CorsairesFootball)

We recommend bookmarking this link, as you will need to consult it regularly. By default, the schedule displays a list of all the organization’s activities. However, once logged in, you will access a personalized version of the schedule. You can also filter by category and location.

Attendance management

The organization asks you to indicate the presence or absence of a member at the activities. The goal is to help us better plan our activities.

To successfully report the presence or absence of a member, you must authenticate yourself.

With a Retroaction account

You can create an account from the mobile app or on the Retroaction platform at www.retroaction.ca. Once your account is activated, you will be able to see the list of your members (ex: your children) and you will be able to consult each person's file and schedule.

Use the same email address provided during the member's registration. If you wish to use a different email address, notify the organization so they can update the member's records.

Authorize a device

If you don't have an account on the Retroaction platform, you can still report a member's attendance or absence. All you need to do is authorize a device, such as your smartphone, tablet, or computer. A validation will be done via email, and no password is required. You will receive an email containing a link to complete the authorization for that device. By clicking the link, you will be automatically redirected to the schedule, and a secure cookie will be added to your browser to identify you. This cookie will remain active for future visits, so you won’t need to go through the authorization process again.

If the email address used is not linked to at least one member's record, an error message will be displayed. This often happens if the email you are using is different from the one provided during the member's registration. You can try again with another email address or contact the organization to add your new email to a member’s record, whether it's your own or your child’s.

Lastly, if you want to report a member's attendance or absence from multiple devices, such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone, you will need to repeat the authorization process on each device.

Indicate their presence or absence

As long as you have an account or have authorized a device, you can indicate whether the member will be present or absent at an activity. You can do it up to 30 minutes before the start of the activity. Otherwise, a volunteer from the association will have to do it for you when you arrive.

By simply clicking on the symbol of an activity, you will have two choices:

Present

To indicate that a member will be present at an activity.

Absent

To indicate that a member will be absent from an activity. At the same time, you can select the reason for the absence and provide details if necessary.

Reminders

An email reminder can be sent by the organization or by a person in charge such as a coach or manager if you have not indicated the presence or absence of a member at an upcoming activity. If you have an account, you can use the buttons directly in the email to indicate the presence or absence of this member. Otherwise, visit the website or use the Retroaction mobile app to do so.

Synchronization with your favorite calendar

You can have the list of activities directly in the calendar of your smart phone. If you have multiple children, subscribe to each of them and get the full list of activities in real time in your favorite calendar like Outlook, Google Calendar or iOS.

To activate synchronization, visit the organization's schedule on the website and select a member. Next, click the Sync schedule and follow the instructions. Please note that only activities for the next two months will be synchronized.

If you notice that you have way too many activities, you have not correctly selected the member in the schedule before proceeding to the synchronization. Delete the calendar from your device and start over.

However, you will not be able to report the presence or absence of a member from the synchronization. You will need to visit the organization's schedule to do so.

Please note that it is also possible to synchronize the complete schedule of a category, a group, of a team or a specific location.

Receive an email notification a few hours before the start of the activity

The organization will not send an email each time it adds an activity to the schedule. She will normally do this if an activity is canceled or if there is a last minute change. However, you can ask to be notified a few hours before each activity involving a member.

To receive an email notification, visit the schedule on the website and select a member. Next, click the Create a reminder and follow the instructions. You will be asked for your email and how long before the start of the activity you would like to receive the reminder. You can create multiple reminders for the same member.

A reminder is valid for a period of 12 months. After this period, you will need to create a new reminder. In addition, the cancellation of this service is always possible from a reminder email.

Unsubscribe from organization communications

It is possible to unsubscribe from receiving emails from the organization. Simply click on the link provided for this purpose at the bottom of an email you received. We will then ask you to confirm that this is your intention. It is important to understand that you will no longer receive any email communications from the organization. Furthermore, only you can reactivate everything. The organization will not be able to do this for you.

To resubscribe to communications from the organization, you must have an account on the Retroaction platform. Log in and go to your account details. Simply click on the small envelope next to the organization name. A red envelope indicates that you are unsubscribed. You can also change subscription status via the Retroaction mobile app in the Settings > Organizations section.

HUAWEI branded smartphone and select LG models

If you would like to reply to an email received from your association and you own a Huawei or LG brand smartphone, check the return address before sending your reply as you may be responding to the Retroaction company instead of respond to your association. The reason is that some of these models ignore an important parameter about the return address to use.
